How To Stop Users From Logging in with Local Accounts when moving to SSO
When an organization moves to a SSO with Vyopta, it is important to ensure that users who have not signed in via SSO are not able to continue logging in via local accounts. To prevent this, it is necessary to remove all the user privileges from Vyopta. This will allow the user to login, but they will get a blank page since they are not assigned any roles. Once the user logs in via SSO, the users roles will be picked up from the AD groups the users are assigned to upon login.
This document will provide instructions on how to remove user roles from Vyopta.
How to Remove User Roles
1. Log into vyopta using <customerName>.vyopta.com
2. Go to the Vyopta Admin Portal and click on Users
3. Select the user you want to modify the roles for and uncheck the Roles assigned as follows:
4. Once the roles have been unchecked, click Save and you should now see the user with no roles.
By following the steps outlined in this document, you can easily remove user roles from Vyopta. This will ensure that users who have not signed in via SSO are not able to continue logging in via local accounts. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact Vyopta Support.
