Below is the list of URL's that require to be opened, so your Vyopta Data Collector and Users can successfully connect to the Vyopta Cloud. With each of these URL's, we provided some additional information from a security perspective on what each of the URLs provide in connectivity to the Vyopta Cloud
1. Navigate to https://login.vyopta.com/and confirm that you see an API response - {"message":"no Route matched with those values"}
Details - login.vyopta.com is our user authentication portal that is used for any user (or service) trying to connect to the Vyopta Cloud. This is also used if your site is using a SSO page. If this URL is closed, users or services will not be able to connect to our Cloud.
2. Navigate to https://my.vyopta.com/and confirm that you see the login screen
Details - my.vyopta.com is our web application for CPM Monitoring, CPM Analytics and Workspace Insights. This is required for all users who want to use the Vyopta Suite of products.
3. Navigate to https://my.vyopta.com/admin and confirm that you see the login screen
Details - my.vyopta.com is our Vyopta Admin Portal (VAP) This is the web application where Vyopta Administrators can configure systems, endpoints, rooms, and general setup for end users of the Vyopta suite of products. This is a required web application for all Vyopta Administrators.
4. Navigate to https://api.vyopta.com/and confirm that you see an API response - {"message":"no Route matched with those *values"} *
Details - api.vyopta.com is used by the collectors to log into vyopta platform and exchange information. This is very similar to how the .Net collectors interacted with apps.vyopta.com Collectors fetch list of systems and endpoints (that need to be monitored) from the Vyopta platform, and send the realtime and historical data back to the Vyopta receivers, using the auth-tokens provided by api.vyopta.com.
5. Navigate to https://adr.vyopta.com/adr and confirm that you see a login screen - You have successfully connected to adr.vyopta.com. You may now close this browser window and continue with your installation.
Details - adr.vyopta.com is the receiver URL for historical and runtime data that the Vyopta Data Collector collects from your systems and endpoints, for processing in the Vyopta Cloud.
6. Navigate to https://galaxy-admin-mq.vyopta.com/and confirm that you see an API response - HTTP 400 Error with No clientID header specified.
Details - is a message service which the collectors can keep an active connection with. This message service allows the Admin Portal to request the collectors to run validation commands. The messages service is also used to pull detailed information about the state and health of the collectors. This message service runs Active MQ over HTTPS to allow 2 way communication with the collector without needing to expose the collector to the internet.
