Can I use Vyopta to monitor my entire infrastructure list?

Answer

Vyopta connects to the systems that are needed by the organization to provide the information that is required, to generate real-time monitoring and analytical data. However, Vyopta is not designed as a network or system monitor. Systems that provide no useful call data are therefore not monitored by Vyopta.

Example: the following systems would not be monitored (amongst others):

• CTPS Conductor
• CUCM Subscribers in a cluster, except where one only may be required to provide the Call Manager service

The intent of Vyopta is not to replace purpose-designed monitoring systems, which, in many cases, will already be present in your environment. These systems are very good at what they do and there are many commercial and freeware options available.
