When an endpoint detects that a touchpanel has been connected the status is held in the Vyopta configuration. Should that touchpanel be removed, Vyopta triggers any configured alerts to notify you that the panel is missing.
There are times, however, when a panel is intentionally removed and alerts should not be generated. In these cases, once the panel has been removed, it should be deleted from the endpoint's configuration.
- To do this from CPM Analytics, go to DATASETS -> Endpoints -> Inventory and click the endpoint in question. Now click on Edit Endpoint in the top right hand
- From within CPM Monitoring go to DATASETS -> Endpoints and select the endpoint and then Edit Endpoint, as above.
In either case a display similar to the below will be shown
Click on the dustbin symbol to delete the Touch Panel. A warning similar to
Will be shown. Click on OK
To display the updated endpoint information it is necessary to re-display the endpoint - the configuration information will not be dynamically updated.
